USC is looking good. Hopefully they can beat Cal, ND and UCLA and go to the national championship. Too bad Flordia didn't lose today, otherwise they'd be on the fast track to the Natl Title Game.

On 4th down Oregon threw into the end zone. The ball was tipped (by a guy who stepped out of bounds before touching the ball), and it was caught (by a guy who stepped out of bounds before catching the ball and nearly landed out of bounds after catching the ball). It was ruled a touchdown. They reviewed the play and determined that it was not a touchdown because the guy who caught the ball stepped out of bounds before catching it. Oregon challenged the call and it was overturned AGAIN because they determined that the guy who caught the ball became eligible again when the ball was tipped. It did not matter that the guy who tipped the ball also stepped out of bounds before tipping the ball (he was pushed by a USC player, but it is not clear whether or not that factored into the call).

On 4th and Goal
Brady Leaf rolls to the right, and throws the ball into the endzone. The ball is tipped and an Oregon player comes up the ball resulting in a TD. Upon official review, the TD call is reversed because the player that comes up with the ball had voluntarily stepped out of bounds at the back of the endzone before making the catch. The Oregon coach challenges the reversal and the replay officials reverse the previous reversal stating that because the ball was tipped by a USC defender, the player who stepped out of bounds becomes eligible. However, its not clear who tipped the ball and it looks like the intended receiver also stepped out of bounds prior to touching the ball.

So on the play, there are issues with TWO players stepping out of bounds: the Oregon player who caught the ball, and the guy who tipped the ball?

Yes both Oregon players stepped out of bounds. Although the tipper was "entangled" with the USC defender at the end of the endzone and that may have caused the refs to overlook at out-of-bounds infraction. Also, the refs said that it was a USC defender who tipped the ball although its not clear which team tipped it.
