I just got my free credit report with Experian. The report said that my Employer is Boeing (never worked for them) and under my personal information there are 4 different names (only 1 is correct and the same from my SS card). Now the funny thing is that the Transunion report shows my name as one of the incorrect names in the Experian report. What are the implications of submitting a dispute? Especially disputing my name (instead of an "a" there should be an "h")

Identity theft?

Would it be a possibility that people submitted your SS#and a fake name when applying for credit cards to get free stuff? Have it checked out.

I think it's easier than that.

Take out a personal loan from the bank, let's say for $200. Make your payments on time, then pay it off early. Have a Discover card and Visa card. Use your Discover for all of your online purchases, use your Visa for all of your other purchases (instead of cash or debit card). Make payments on your Discover without paying it off right away, then pay it off. Pay off the Visa as you use it.

And it helps to be in school and have school loans.

Is it possible to have a 720 and up score with around 40K in student loans? My score never seems to hit that magic number, must be because of the deferred student loans. Also, my alma mater was saying I was 120+ days late on these loans erroneously, I just got it fixed but it has done a lot of harm in the past year I didn't know it was on there. If there is an error such as this, why don't the 3 major bureaus do a "rollback" on my credit report, i.e. boost it to a similar score before the error? I haven't seen any major boost after it was taken off :-/

Also, I have two credit cards, one of which was 90+ days late about 3.5 years ago, also have a store card with an $800 line (just recently got approved for this last month). Does the $800 limit for the store card count towards my total available credit , and does the credit limit (800) show up on a credit report (like CC's do)?

Job has no implication on credit (don't let them list you as unemployed though), but the name thing you should get that taken care of asap to prevent any future problems.

Now I understand why sometimes I get CC offers with my name misspelled!!Both names are tied up to my SSN. how the fvck could this happen in the first place??

Someone could have applied for a card under that name (check your inquiries to see if any listings are unrecognizable) or it was a simple data entry error.
