It's hard to imagine it comes without a battery. I think it's a misprint. If you look the part number is the same in Amazon as at eCost. Malata DVD-710V

About a month ago Fry's had a 7" portable DVD plater, although not this brand, for 129 out the door. So having it for essentially the same price plus a rebate is the next logical step in the lowering of prices.

I believe it would have a battery but I would call eCost first. The Amazon price is not a very good price but thanks for the link for the comparison.

Edit:
Here's google search for Malata DVD-710V and the stores that are listed on the search seem to have the Li-Ion battery included.

Nice find. Keep in mind that even if there's free shipping, eCost charges for "handling" fees. I ordered 3x from them before, and I get charged "handling" fees all the time. Their rebates are good, though. 1 out of the 3 products I ordered had a rebate and a few weeks later, I got the cheque. :)

Again, nice find (and sorry for the tangent).

There's a thread over @ FW about this, and they claim they talked to a CSR and it definitely comes with the battery pack and some other accessory (forget which one).

Has anyone ever bought one of these or heard of this brand?

It would be good for my kids on long trips in the car.

Thanks OP!
