no way, Wonders has to withstand the test of history. They don't even come close to it.

Man....I really want to visit some of those places. It makes you think about how insignificant we all are.

Chicken Pizza, I mean Chichén Itzá kicks ass. I was there earlier in the year. I wonder how the ancients knew how to manipulate sound as well as they did.

The pyramids are amazing, they are the only ancient wonders that still exists today. Kind of surprises me that the Great Wall of China is not on the original seven.

I read somewhere the one of the other ancient wonders, the Colossus of Rhodes, was going to be rebuilt. That would be a site to see

Good god, how can you not chose Ankor Wat?

It is a temple structure that dwarves the Pyramids in its enormity. I guess if you haven't been to Cambodia you may not know it, but it is awe inspiring.

The choices in general are too limited

As far as landmarks are concerned...hmmm... would have to say...St. Peter's Basilica in Rome... those stairs almost killed me.

I don't think that the Leaning Tower is a good choice here. I went to Pisa this past spring, and the big word is that the tower is due to fall very, very soon, as in within the next 50 years or so, more then likely sooner. The locals are against the idea of adding more supports to this building, and doing that would sorta defeat the purpose of a leaning tower anyways... I do second that St. Peter's Basilica is an amazing place, I've been there 2 times in my life and it's astounding to myself, and I'm not even religious. I can only imagine it must be stronger to one who is. Perhaps the Louvre should get some credit here. Being the biggest museum in the world, and definitly housing the most famous works, it could have a place here. Also, the Parthadon(sp?) in Rome is quite a sight, even if it is surounded by american fast food resteraunts... sigh...

The pyramids should be on the list. They are simply amazing.

The wonders of the world are located in/around the Roman Empire. That is why the great wall is not on the list...
