So I've been in Taiwan touring the island and 7 Eleven is EVERYWHERE. If its a city like HwaLien or Gaoshiong, there will be like a 7 eleven about every 2 blocks. And the people that work at McDs can aim the lettuce on the patties in the Big Macs!

 for big macs overseas. The produce is actually fresh! :Q

Unpossible! :Q

Possible and, in fact, the norm!
Yesterday I went to McDs to buy a McFlurry with ???. To my complete surprise, it wasn't any kind of bean or exotic fruit, but M&Ms :(

Stray dogs run rampant also, but they're so friendly and petting them without having your hand bitten off is pretty cool.

Right now its 11:53pm Sunday and my eyelids are slowly drooping....

True! Towards the end of a trip I was getting a mac attack and stopped by a Mcds in Hong Kong. And lo and behold I bit into it and I was greeted with a nice crunchy green leaf of leattuce!

Doesn't the x-ray for check-ins destroy electronics.

7-Eleven is everywhere here too, genius.

I wish I could say that, the closest one to me is an hour away and I can't say I live in the middle of nowhere either. I live in an area with a total population of well over 50,000 not including the 15,000 at the nearby fort and another 25-30.000 in the other neighboring town. I've thought of starting a 7-11 franchise here just for the Slurpees.

I think he means Hualien and Kaoshiung.

7Eleven in Taiwan is awesome. They're bright and clean, they have pretty good prepared food (baozi and lunch boxes), you can mail stuff, pay your bills and parking tickets, make copies and faxes, and the workers are young and very friendly. Stuff isn't marked up in price as much as in the States, and you can buy oddball stuff there (toilet plunger, disposable underwear, Hello Kitty stationary).

It's good stuff.

Walking out of my wife's house, I can look up and down the street and see six 7Elevens and one Family Mart. I know of three more that are around blocks and out of my line of sight.

Again, good stuff.

Japan has far fewer 7Eleven stores. I mostly saw amPM stores there.
