Drudge breaks news before anyone if he's on top of things- you'll hear it from the greater media tomorrow morning I'm sure. Hope this was not in a populated area and hope it did not damage any energy assets (re: pipelines) up there. Sounds like small coastal fishing towns at the worse. We'll see...

This is an appropriate place for this post, P&N is pretty much nothing but people talking past one another about politics. I still remember when I was a little kid all the news about the 1964 quake. The pics in National Geographic were amazing.

Hey, I'm in North Pole. If we can dig up one or two more, we may have enough for an official ATOT gathering. :D

ARGHHHH!! NO!!!!

We need to get rid of the damn N&P forum if stuff like this is going to be mandated to be posted there.

It should be in Off Topic, damnit.

I think I'm only able to find a 7.3 earthquake, but 7.3 and 7.5 will not make a huge different in damage. I had several experience of earthquake in LA area, even a 6.4 is already scare enough. I feel sorry for those people in AK, hope they are OK.

Yeah, it was a 7.3. Still significant.

Just glad it happened off shores.
