Simply put, look at the trap speeds in comparison tests, cars with approx. 500 hp (ie stock z06) post massively higher speeds in the quarter. Beyond 100mph the GTR isnt even close.

The Z06 has 505HP which is 25 more than Nissan claims and it weighs 600 lbs less. Motortrend posted a 3.2sec 0-60 which is the third fastest time they have ever tested, behind an Enzo and a Veyron. The 11.6 sec 1/4 is nothing to scoff at either.

GT-R 480HP 3800+lbs
3.2 0-60
11.6 sec 1/4 @ 119.7

Z06 505HP (SAE certified) 3234lbs
3.8 0-60
11.7 1/4 @ 125

edmunds got 3.5 on their 0-60 for the Z06... imagine the Z06 with AWD.. that'd be one hell of a 0-60 time

You have repeatedly flung juvenile insults at me, after I poked admittedly somewhat unkind fun at your little hating fit and run earlier in the thread, so I don't think you can hold yourself blameless in this affair.

I note that you wonder about the quality of the forums, yet instead of asking people in a mature and sensible fashion how it was possible to the GTR got such amazing lap times given it's apparent lack of power/weight ratio, you come in and squawk about it being 'garbage' and that 'something fishy' was going on.

That doesn't strike me as a dedication to delivering quality to the people.

The GTR's results are unbeleivably phenominal and excluding the people in this thread there are others who are simply amazed at the number that they don't believe it. We all know of marketing gimmicks which is what this smelled like. So you honestly think that me calling the Nissan's time "garbage" an open door for insults? I can't believe I'm still arguing about this. I really wanted to refrain from insulting you further but you have really proved that you are an idiot. Sorry but it had to be said, again.

If you've nothing to prove, you wouldn't have dragged this argument out quite so exuberantly. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were enjoying it.

Lets see what happened:

-You come in squawking about the GTR times being fishy garbage, and do some 'research' which just proves you must be right.

-Someone corrects you, point by point.

-You vanish from the thread.

-I poke fun at your hating and running, while adding my 2c about the car.

-You start spewing a puerile stream of amazingly irrelvant insults at me.

-I laugh in your general direction.

-You continue to howl like someone pinched your pacifier, and continue a increasingly childish stream of invective.
