7.1 Speakers

What is the best value for 7.1 speakers? I was thinking of getting the Creative Inspire T7700. Is this the best value for the money?

Yeah, those will probably be the least expensive 7.1 speakers.

I would recommend going with a quality 5.1 over those. Maybe Logitech Z5300s. Will sound better, and the extra two speakers won't add much if anything (especially if they don't put out that good of sound).

As far as I know there are very few 7.1 comuter speaker sets. I think Creative is about the only one who makes them (the Inspires you listed and the Gigaworks S750s).

Well I like my creatives for what they cost (paid approx $130 for em several months ago) but If I could do it over I'd go with the logitech z-3500. For just a little more, they are supposedly better quality. Also, the T7700 set has so many wires it can drive you crazy.
