So yeah, you are insane if you don't buy that Sonic bundle and don't have Sonic Racing Transformed which is very awesome

I'm not sure if that bundle is mispriced, I think it is, so if you want it grab it quick.

Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed is some of the most fun I've ever had in a racing game, ever. It's completely sublime.
 
Just saw that Sega put an update out for Sonic Racing Transformed today and it included a free character. General Winter, a Company of Heroes 2 character that drives in a tank. Awesome free update I say.
 
Anybody else have trouble with the "Configure" utility crashing?

I can get about 3 or 4 buttons mapped and it crashes every time. Sometimes it will save the settings and sometimes it won't.

It's killing me because this game is a darn good bit of fun.

Yeah, it did that to me awhile ago when I was trying out the game for the PC. Honestly, the PC version of Sonic Racing is bad. Back when I tried it, I had an i5-2500k + GTX 680, and the game had intermittent freezes. Essentially, I was incapable of ever winning a race online because the game would freeze so often.

Also, one complaint about the gameplay itself... those boost pads really need to be designed to always get you up to a certain speed. The Jet Set Radio Future stage can be a huge pain if something causes you to lose your speed right before a jump (that uses a boost pad). You pretty much have to go in reverse and gain speed, because the launch pad will just throw you into the wall. Trust me... I speak from experience. I'm pretty sure that little hiccup caused me to go from 1st to 8th place in an online match (on the 360). :\

The first Sonic racing was a soso port, but Transformed is great. It runs really smooth for me, never once crashed.

I tried to play the first one after playing Transformed, and I just couldn't do it. The gameplay was just not nearly as good. The characters didn't feel very fluid in their movements (mostly the drifting).

Oh, and one other complaint about Transformed. When you're playing online, only one person can select a certain racer. If you've only started playing recently, that can be a real pain as you also level up characters. So, if you've got one character in a good spot with the mod you like, you may not be able to play as him. I like playing as Sonic, but given he's the titular character, that's usually not an option. Fortunately, Metal Sonic is very similar to Sonic.

Maybe I'll try the game again to see if it still freezes randomly. Maybe it's some setting that I have enabled that's buggy.
 
Left 4 dead package is well worth the $7.49

the original handles differently than 2. Between l4d 1 & 2, my daughter likes the original better.

Glad I grabbed it before they fixed the mistake! So All Stars Racing Transformed and Generations are supposed to be pretty good? - what are the other bests of the bundle considering 'Sonic' became synonymous with 'Downward Spiral' in games quality in the past years?
