Just to throw in another nod for the Kingston cheapies -- I've burned a whole bunch of the 8x discs on my Plexwriter at 12x with no problems at all. They've read fine on the drives that I've tried them on...including audio CD players (for audio CDs, obviously).

hmmmm....goldentiger it's more like literally 20 cents per cd...

don't ppl realize that cheap cyanine dye (e.g. Kingston) = crap? = low compatibility?

I've had good luck with the Kingstons on my Sony 12x8x32... I've actually got about 5 or 6 spindles total of them, they're decent for anything besides long term storage. I also got a 50 pack of the Fuji media from CompUSA (back when it was $19.99 - $10 rebate). They are TY and work just great. I wish I had brought more of them...

KidViciou$: Perhaps you have a software problem. Have you tried just using Plextor Mgr. to see if you can get a complete burn with that?
