6x9 speaker mounting

I have 2 6x9 speakers mounted in the back of my Ramcharger. The speakers are mounted into a fiber based cardboard that does not hold the screws in at all. The Speakers now fall out of the wall whenever i go offroading. Does anyone know of any good mounting methods (Preferably cheap) that would work in this situation?

Will that cardboard material be strong enough to hold nails?

I had to do the same with my 6x9s in my old bronco(mudding toy) I got 4 nails put in each hole, bam, fixed
