I'm trying to use an older (around 1999) computer (but not the oldest I have sitting around) to put together for my hearing impaired brother. Sound is not the issue as it will do him no good. However, graphics IS an issue. I'm posting this message using this computer. It has the above motherboard, with a CPU labeled GenuinIntel X86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 3, which I believe is a Pentium III. I've put in 256 MB RAM and it seems to be running fine, except...the graphics. Microsoft installed a standard vga driver. However I only have the options of 2 or 16 colors. I know this can't be right. Also, some drivers didn't install... PCI to PCI Bridge being one of them. I can't seem to find any info at all about this motherboard and it's onboard graphics. Yes...I know I could purchase a video card, but if I can find the right driver for the onboard graphics, I would prefer that for now. Any ideas? Oh...by the way...a search for the above took me to this website: http://www.discovery-int.com/catalog/motherboard.htm and that's the exact mob I have.
