i briefly worked at 6th ave electronics while in school. they are usually good with stuff. some helpful things you might want to know for the future.
1. you can usually haggle the price of an item up to a certain amount.
2. many of the items have spiffs on them that the sales person gets when they sell you that item. for example, you go there to buy a sony tv but the salesperson is pushing you towards a panasonic. that panasonic may have a $20 spiff on it where as the sony has nothing so do you research on what you want to purchase.

They used to sell grey market goods, as legit US products. I've never trust them since.
I'm not telling you to cancel, they do have some great prices. I bought my Paradigm speakers from them because the price they gave me was so good. However, I strongly recommend you check with Panasonic, and make sure they are authorized sellers.Originally posted by: LikeLinus

Damn that sucks. They have like an 8.6 ResellerRating!
I'm going to talk to them tomorrow..I'll probably just cancel the order for her and tell her to go elsewhere.

DO NOT cancel the order. I bet you ordered PX50U or 500U and they are trying to switch you to HP PL5000N. Guess what! DO IT, it's a great deal, I originally placed an order for 50U, but they weren't getting it for a while, so I talked the guy (Stevie) down to $3,150 for the HP PL5000N which they normally sell for $4,300. So go for it and remember, they still make money at $3,000 for the HP, so make your negotiating skills shineBTW, HP PL5000N = Panny 500U, see avsforum.com for more details.
