VERY tempting. Now if it just had a DVD drive, I buy it in a second.

Memory is only 64MB too.

It does have a CF slot, so I could use the wireless card from my Ipaq with it though and it has a 10" touch screen. Kinda like a webpad.

Anyone know the IBM model number so I could look up memory options for it?

Does the "tablet" on the right contain any notebook parts? So I can use it without that section.

UPDATE- Nevermind- The model number is Thinkpad Transnote 2675

With that small of a screen and it's other quirks, that looks like about all it's worth :disgust:

Global Computer Outlet in Naperville, IL, part of same company as Tiger Direct, had this for about $600 2-3 weeks ago.

The keyboard is almost full size. It did look cool.

It's tempting...

I was looking for a notebook to browse the internet and watch movies on while travelling & in bad weather during camping, etc...

I couldn't find any really good deals like a few months ago when all those Duron 1GHz & Celeron 1GHz with DVD drives were going for $799 area.

I looked at alot of the low cost ones which always run about $1000 and decided to screw it and pay a few hundred more and get a really nice one (probably the Compaq Presario 2800).

The perfect one for me would be less than $800, be decent speed, have 256MB (or be easily and cheaply expanded to that or higher) and have a DVD and at least a 13" screen. Not finding that, so I think I'm going to go for the 2800.

I oughtta pawn off my Kodak DC4800 and splurge a little extra cash for this puppy. I bet I'd get more use out of it...
