6970 HD not preforming right- How to check if its working?

Hello! I recently purchased a 6970 hd graphics card and a 2500k processor, and all seemed to be going fine, until skyrim. For some reason whenever I turn on the anti-analyzing in skyrim my machine freaks out and drops to 10-25 fps.
This is very upsetting considering my current build, so I wanted to find out if its a problem with skyrim or my machine. Is there anywhere where I might be able to test my cpu and graphics card to make sure they are preforming up to par with others like it? Any suggestions?
Thanks
sincerely NAGZS

Well adding AA and getting reduced FPS wouldn't be a cpu problem if you weren't having problems prior to adding AA.

Are you using texture mods, how much vram are you using?

anti-analyzing... maybe that's why the game runs bad, because it is not... analyzing. :D

I uninstalled all of my mods, so I'm not using any extra texture packs. I have 8gbs of ram if it has any relevance and the graphics card has 2gb on it.... SOOOOO to continue I want to know if its skyrim being skyrim or if its my hardware. Is there anything I can benchmark my hardware to make sure its all working correctly. also skyrim is also getting a BUNCH of microstutters, even when its not going over my refresh rate.

Also my motherboard is kinda acting up.... it will boot to the bios without being told to do so and other various bugs, could this have something to do with it? its an asrock extreme gen 3

Make sure you're not using drivers 12.1, they seem to be screwing a lot of people over.

Are you forcing any settings in CCC, like Ambient Occlusion? They can have a huge impact on performance. And the higher demanding AA's wouldn't kick in unless you enabled AA in the game I believe.
