Hi all

Just wondering if I should spring for a 6950 now and replace my 5770 CF setup or wait till fall/winter? for the next offering from AMD and Nvidia?

I game at 1900x1200 and mostly play flight sims and shooters. Currently playing Cliffs of Dover and Clear Sky

Thanks!~

I'm in a similar situation, except my 4870x2 overheated and died on me. Personally, I think its close enough to the next gen that I'm going to wait. I've been noticing that 6970s are starting to get low in stock, usually a sign that something is going to replace it sooner vs later. In the meantime I'll be rocking my 7600gt with a whole 256mb of ram :p

1. A single HD6950 isn't an upgrade to HD5770 in CF. So you'd need to get 2 of those.

2. If you are asking if you should wait or not, it sounds to me like your setup doesn't really feel slow to you at the settings you play. If you wanted an HD6950, you probably should have purchased it 6+ months ago. The prices on these cards barely dropped since then. So I would say, you might as well wait until HD7900 series at this point.
