6950 Crossfire question

I just ordered 2 of these, from different vendors, but the same card and brand, saphire.

Anyway, if one of these cards allows me to unlock the shaders but the other does not, can I still crossfire them?

Or would both cards just end up running at the lower cards settings making the unlock pointless?

It should work fine. Crossfire can be asymmetric.

Yes you can still crossfire them.
The last part of this is true. Crossfire will only run at the lower of the cards in the setup. So, if you can only get one to unlock, may as well just switch it back to the a 6950 and boost the OC.
