Is there maybe a better cooler for these cards? One that would drop it 20-30C, haha ....

where do I change the 3D mode to always on? I have CCC doing the OC, MSI Afterburner just to check temps and whatnot. Should I use MSI Afterburner to OC instead?

Per my previous post in this thread:
To force 3D clocks at all time, download MSI Afterburner v. 2.1 beta 7. In the config file to enable unofficial overclocking, put in "2" instead of one and it will disable PowerPlay. Here's the specifics: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=3870370 . Let us know if that works .
I think 2.1 final is out now though. In either case, this disables PowerPlay and prevents the cards from downclocking on idle. It might fix the the display flicker.

I played with different set ups ... 1 card, stock BIOS, no OC, 1 monitor, 2 card xfire disabled, etc and I still get screen flicker at the desktop (browsing web pages, or just refreshing monitors). I have not tried a different monitor, I don't have any so that's a tough test. I currently have 2 x Dell P2411H, I wonder if those are the culprits....

I still don't know how to disable powerplay in MSI Afterburner, haha.
