Hi dudes,

I have a Gigabyte 6870 1gig. For 10 days i had some problems. When i boot my pc, i see white dots on boot screen. Also "k" letters are defective. It continues to boot W7 x64, i see rainbow lines on login screen. When i login, desktop does not appear, i see black screen.

I opened the cooling part, cleaned with pressured air, changed the thermal paste, controlled all the parts cables etc.. No luck. I changed my PSU with 750W, tried on different computers and monitors. Still same.

One day i booted succesfully once. I immediately opened CCC and Ati overdrive section. I changed the fan speed to %40 and gpu temp is 40C. So seems ok. But after 5 mins, the rainbow lines came again. I could barely saw temp, it is still 40C! So it cant be temperature of GPU.

But the most interesting part, starts here. When i use system recovery and recover "before" installing ATI drivers, i can use my computer all the day without drivers! I tried almost 3 different drivers. Now i consider to use omega drivers.

I can not send to RMA because RMA service is 2 years in my country. After 2 years you are on your own with the card :)

What do you think? Is there a chance?
