6850 to 7950 - drivers reinstall necessary?

Should I reinstall Catalyst when going from a 6850 to 7950 or is it not needed? I know it did some reconfiguration when I put the new GPU in, but just wondering if I get a "cleaner" install if I wipe it out completely and then reinstall?

I went from a 5850 to 6970 to 7970, plug and play provided the drivers are up to date. You don't need to uninstall any drivers. To be safe, just install the latest drivers once again though.

I'm actually reformatting my PC right now. Too many hardware changes and stuff happened on the last Windows install. Call me superstitious.
