This is a strange one. I plopped in an E2180 and Windows see's only 1 core.
Everest and CPU Wizard see 2 cores but only 1 of them is being used. The other
core just sits there. No temp readings or activity at all. I know the board supports
Pentium D's. Any idea what may be causing this ?

try updating your bios, and in the cpu part in the bios make sure both cores are enabled.

I've never seen an option to disable a core in a bios before. Thanks for the help.
All is good now. I wonder what the function of it is ? Oh well, learn something
new every day.

Bench marking mostly, some of the tests you only need to use one core. Using two core or four would make the over clock lower.
