6800Ultra SLi Crysis

My older system that i am thinking to give as a gift to my younger brother, uses a single 6800 Ultra. I found another 6800 Ultra and was thinking if i SLi them and then my younger brother will be a bit more loyal!!!

I was just thinking how well this will do as compared to say a 7900 GTX in terms of new games like Crysis, COD4, Bioshock, etc!!


BTW the 6800 Ultra costs around $60 + VAT and the 7900 GTX costs costs around $110 + VAT!!
 
Sell the 6800 and buy him an 8800GS or 9600GT. You can probably sell the 6800 for about $60, and the cost of a 9600 is roughly $120. It's a much better idea than SLI.

6800 in Sli really wont make a difference a 7900GTX > 6800 Sli anyways

People run newer cards on older motherboards all the time.

My brother ran 8800GT in SLI on NF4 board.
 
Crysis and 6800 or 7000 anything is a bad idea. Even if you run 4 of them. No point getting a 7900gtx for $110 when you can get a 8800gs or 9600gt for not much more or even cheaper in some cases.

7900 GTX is faster than dual 6800 Ultra's. Also there's less heat, noise, size, power use and more compatibility. 🙂
