Just build new system, and after sitting idle for about an hour, my video card temp is 53c. Is this a good temp? Thanks

I havent tweaked anything on the card itself. What is a good temp so that i know when I OC it, idle and load? Whats the "safe" range? Thanks

53C idle is quite good...I have my 6800GT at Ultra speeds and never see below ~58C unless it's ridiculously cold in the room or something. As far as load temps...I personally would consider anything under 80-85C to be fine, although mine I believe never goes higher than about 75 so I doubt you'd get that high. (these cards run really hot...)

I believe they default to shutdown at 120C, for what it's worth.

I believe the Ultra core/driver/bios (one of those) is designed to do 350MHz 2D and 400MHz 3D. I think mine hovers close to yours when idle.
