6800LE vs 6800GT

Hi,

I heard that when a 6800LE (Winfast A400LE) is unlocked, 12x pipline 6x vertex shaders.

and some says 16x pipline but 5 vertex shaders... actually which is which and is it true?

afterall, how does it compare with a 6800GT or even a 6800ultra.

does 6800LE only somes with 128mb version?
I will do games like F.E.A.R. in the future, but will not do AA/AF, do i really need 256mb of ram.

as you can see, i have a ATI Radeon 9800pro , hahah, should i upgrade to 6800LE
anyways, any of you still see this in store?

a 6800le has 8 pipelines with the possibility to unlock another 8 however I haven't found one that was unlockable for a long time.
Keep the 9800pro and wait for the next gen after 7800/r520 the 9800pro will perform for awhile yet.

yes, i love my card really much,
I actually want to flash it to xt, and i did for my previous card until it was burnt. now i want to flash again, but the chipset is kinda weird, i am not sure which chipset it is..

i am now playing F.E.A.R. and i find that it is not smooth at all time, i already overclock my cpu to 3.8Ghz, i know it is depending on videocard side... so... i want to see which card to get for the best performance and bang for the buck.

The 6800le cards have the same core NV40 as the rest of the 6800 line. 16 pixel pipes and 6 vertex shaders. They come with 8 pixel pipes (2 quads) and 2 vertex units disabled. You can use rivatuner to unlock these, although not all of them may be functional. I have a 6800le that I have unlocked to 16/5 with no artifacts and it runs great. I have only seen 128mb versions. Hope this helps
