Hi all,
I've run into an interesting situation with my Leadtek Winfast A400 6800GT 256 (which, as I have come to understand, may be a bad card). Looking in my profile, does anyone see anything that would potentially cause a conflict with my gfx card? I get horrible artifacting after putting my computer to sleep. Eventually, over time, the artifacting has occured when starting up a game. So, after talking with Leadtek I was supposed to try my card out on another computer. So I went for a different chip maker altogether.
I went to an intel p4 2.4HT; this is a good friend of mine. After hooking that up on his system, which only has 512mb ram, the card didn't seem to perform as well, but no artifacting. His 9800pro performed better in Guild Wars with the exact same settings (maybe the game was built for ATI?) Anyway, I tried to put the computer to sleep to recreate my situation for Leadtek. No such luck, the computer wouldn't even go to sleep. The drive would spin down and right back up to the login screen.
Any info is appreciated, I'm ready to fill out the RMA request form at this point, which I'm sure some people will agree with.
Thanks in advance
John
