6800GT vs 6800Ultra

I want to know the differenence in these two cards. The Ultra is a lot more in price but is it worth it. The difference in speed is neglible. Is there more to it besides the speed?

I have a AMD 939 3500+
6800GT
2 gigs of ram

I have been playing Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth. I play at the Ultra level at 1600x1200.

Sometime very rare though maybe 3 times out of 50 games, but may game just shut off in mid game. It doesn't freeze or anything the game shuts off and a driver message comes up about the game has crashed but my computer is still running very smooth? Any tips, if I get the Utlra will it fix this. I went and updated the video dispay drivers for the card.
 
maybe its just a buggy game. LOTR just came out. i'm sure they can find some bugs to fix. did you try email EA support with the error message? or browse around EA LOTR forums for poeople that get the same messgae?
 
the video card is probably the most unlikely source of the problem. the most likely problems would be game bugs or drivers. i wouldn't consider hardware unless you started getting wierd polygons and colors showing up on your screen.

Unlikely unless your 6800GT is defective (which again is highly unlikely).

probably that windows thingy, whats it called, the one that stops malicious code from being executed in the memory and you turn it off by setting it to no execute
