6800GT TV Out Problem

See sig for system specs. I have hooked up the TV-Out on my GT to a TV, going through a cheap RF modulator (also converting s-video to RCA first). When playing a video (non-HD, mostly TV rips) fullscreen on the TV and having it very small on PC so I can do other stuff, the smallest task causes playback on the TV to studder/skip. For instance, typing a lot on AIM; opening Word; etc etc. For those who don't know, the nVidia drivers have an option where video will play fullscreen on either device that you select (Monitor or TV) and will function as normal on the other device, so long as you don't minimize the player (i.e. WMP10). I'm using WMP10 to play these files, haven't tried other players.
Would this be a result of the non-functioning PVP on the 6800 series? Does WMP10 just suck? Opinions? Thx in advance

Does it do it when you are not using TV out? Have you tried the different rendering modes in WMP10?
