Heya. I bought this here Nvidia 6800gt video card and I noticed a s-video plug in the back of it and on the box it says 'Integrated TV encoder'. What does this mean exactly?

Unless you got a vivo model, sounds like it's just an s-video out port.

This would allow you to output your computer video to a tv. (basically using a tv as your monitor)

Do you have a link to the card?

That's the one. Thanks.

What do i need in order to watch tv on my computer? I heard that the same things that make the tv come onto you're computer also record the shows like a Tivo for you're computer. If that's true, where can I find one of these at a good price?

I haven't considered getting anything like that, so I havne't looked into it.

Do a search for tv-tuners and see what comes up.

haupauge wintv pvr 150 is one of the best quality/price tunners, you will either need snapstream/sage/media center or something like it to work as a tivo though as hauppauges software is horrible
