couple of questions that i have..

1. What would be the max OC speed for my 6800GT Pci-E? Do I follow what RivaTuner tells me what the max is? or is there any guideline telling me when to stop?

2. what is the maximum temperature i should have on my 6800GT?

right now it is OCed to..

400MHz and 1140MGz,
and it goes up to 86 degree while playing Far Cry

The max safe OC you get from coolbits and RivaTuner are good guides but it doesn't mean you can't go higher. If the card can't handle it, you'll get lockups, possibly reboots and screen corruption or artifacts.

86° is pretty warm but by default the warning temp on my 6800GT is 120°. You may want to consider better cooling. My card rarely goes higher than 72° under load.

i use the vf700.

personally i don't ever oc my 6800gt as i don't notice any difference in games, just 3dmarks.

imo anything over 80c is unacceptable but some people run it higher.
