Alright, this is what i've picked out so far:

AMD Athlon 3400+ 64
Asus K8V SE
1 GB PDP Patriot pc3200 memory
120 GB samsung HDD
Thermaltake Tsunami
Thermaltake 480 watt p/s

I need a video card now. I'm underbudget by about $100, but i think i can get some extra money together. I wanted the 6800 LE, but those are sold out, and i'm not going to be ordering one now anyways, (unless u think i should order one now and hold on to it for about 1 1/2 months). I was thinking about a GT, but those are still pricy, but the nu is cheap, but has less ram. You see, im more concerned about the ram than the pipes and clock speeds. I just want something that will last for a while.

So do you think i should get a NU and save money, a GT, or a LE now and wait a while.

Also, im writing this on my mom's comp, will it change anything i dont want it to if i dl rivatuner? I'm just concerned about it changing something.

If you can't aford a GT NU offers about the same per price/performance ratio I think. So it's fine to go with the nu if that's what you can aford imo.

tone down that RAM to some value 3200, save a butt load with no performance hit. then use the saved money for the GT

DDR3 RAM and better cooling than a GT for only $50 more than an NU? That's a good deal!

it's only about $20 cheaper, with 2.5,3,3,7 latency, while this is 2,3,2,5

I'm probably gunna stick with this, but do you think the 3400+ is that much better than the 3200+?

That's exactly what I did. You'll be amazed how much more motivated you are to buy the other parts once you have a new video card sitting in front of you.
