Welcome to the club. I have a 2.8C@3.2 and I know that this is a serious bottleneck for my gpu. I don't even bother to o/c my card to Ultra levels... I'm thinking of an A64 too but I'll wait for A643800+ to drop in price and then make my investment.

exactly my sentiment. 3.2ghz is plenty fast..... you don't really need to play D3 at 1600x1200 at high settings ya know?

If you drop 400 coin on a card you want to run it at that level.

btw get an A64 3000+. I got mine running at 2.2Ghz without issue and some have got them upto 2.5Ghz. I think the street price on them is around 170 bucks now.

I guess it depends what game you are running and what resolution. I have an EVGA GT and a 3800+ @ 2.5 (can go higher but kept it here). The graphics card has a tough time a times with eye candy at 1600x1200 (my native resolution on my LCD).

I'm getting an Ultra in October!

I have one of these with an AXP 3200 and can use 1600x1200 fine in most games. It is still CPU limited but the framerate is in the 50s and crucially, rarely drops below 50. If I turn on AA/AF then things become more GPU limited.
