6800GT Halo question

Ok when I had a Geforce 4 DX8 card, I would get the invisible power up my guy would go transparent.

Then I got a DX9 card a 9800pro and when I got the power up the guy would look all cool like crystal.

Now I got my 6800GT runing DX9c and Im back to transparent WTF?


Would love to know why..

I have a 9700pro and it looks kind of a wavy transparent. Check your video settings both in the control panel and in game.

CaiNaM my bad, I had to edit my first post I had said I had a 9800gt when I ment 6800GT

So I dont think your link help for my post.

I'm sure that thread talks about how Halo has a special path for Nvidia cards which doesn't do any refraction effect for the active cammo.

i do believe it uses the same path looks the same on nv3x or nv40, but i haven't played halo on the pc in some time so i'm not sure...
