6800GT enough for Half Life2 Episode 1?

Will my 6800GT be able to handle Half Life 2 Episode 1 at 1680x1050 with HDR?

Rest of system: Athon64 3500+, 1GB RAM

anyway, to answer the posters question --- you should be fine. i just finished EP1 with 7600gt, A64 3500+, 1.5 gigs of ram, i played on 1280*1024 with 4x AA and 16x AF and it was super smooth. you should be fine at 1680*1050 🙂

My A64 3000+, 6800GT combo can run HL2 EP1 no worries at that res, when running at stock speeds, and my 6800GT is a 128mb model(ASUS V9999GT).

I really wish you would stop posting until you actually offered some useful info, rather than the dribble that you seem to constantly spew.

I had hoped he'd be doing better by now...
 
I had a 6800 in my system, with an E6600, and I could run HL2 at maxed settings - but I didn't have EP1. I have a X1900XTX now or I'd give numbers.
 
Im running hl2 on a x300 everything is low but it runs ok. I have to go 640x480 but get 50fps with it on the test thing.
 
My 2nd rig has an 64 +3000 with x800xl and it runs it quite nicely with HDR and AA turned up. The again, its an ati and can run both at once. I still dont see why it wouldn't be able to run it with a 6800gt.. its still a great card.
