6800GT cards

Sorry if this is common knowledge but I haven't been keeping up-to-date since I built my rig...

I have an eVGA 6800GT that I purchased last May. I wanted to buy another for SLI but can't find them anywhere.

Has the 6800GT GPU been discontinued by most manuf?

I see there are a bunch of 6800 and 6800GSs available but not very many 6800GTs.
 
6800GTs are hard to find. The manufacturers aren't making them anymore.
There's good news, though. By the end of the week you will be able to buy a 7900gt for just a few $ more than the 6800GTs are going for. It'll be faster than 6800GT SLI and if you sell the 6800GT it'll end up being cheaper as well. It's really win/win for you. Except you don't get the coolness of SLI. Unless you buy 2 7900GTs.

Interesting. How much do you think the street price of the 7900GTs will be out of the gate?
 
I keep hearing that dual 6800's don't even match up to a 7800 card. I'm sure the benchmarks have spoken quite loudly, however.

Do yourself a favor, and consider the option of not spending that much money on another 6800, the math doesn't come out right~
 
Thanks. I guess I will wait to see the benchies on the 7900GT. Are there any sites that have benches yet for this card?
