I've been playing WoW without any problems for the last couple months. Recently, though, it has been freezing up on me. I could not figure out why. I just purchased Half-Life 2 and it froze at the loading screen. I waited about 30 minutes for it to unfreeze, and then I exited the program. I looked at my video card temps and it was at 135 degrees celcius. The cut off threshold is 120c. I took the card out and dusted it with my spray can. It now idles at 67-69c and plays those games at 78c. Is there anything to worry about or is the card fine now?

remount the hsf. a lot of times, it will be knocked off during shipping. thgey have a tendency to do that due to only 2 contact spring points.

Anandtechs review stated some brands had poor stability in the hs design and they can be dislodged slightly.

When you took the card out, you probably pressed/jiggled the hs and reseated it correctly so your temps are now normal.
