I want to know if Nforce 3 makes 6800GT faster than with any other chipset. I heard somewhere they both are a killer combination, and that 6800GT will have a performance boost coupled with this chipset. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

the nforce 3 has a dual channel memory controler, etc so it will probably perform better then the nforce 2, but that has nothing to do with the 6800GT and the nforce 3 being a "killer combonation". maybe 5FPS difference with the same proc/memory/graphics card. I have both, and its diffenately a nice rig.

an A64 in general with a 6800GT is sweet, regardless of which chipset.

You could be using a K8T800Pro chipset and it would perform within 2-3% of the NF3 easily... I like the K8T800 myself, I've always like VIA for AMD based systems.
Not that I dislike my NF3 250, but the K8T800Pro is a good chipset too.

And what MoBo would you buy, I don't know If I should go with ASUS A8V-Deluxe rev2.0 or MSI K8N neo 2. I heard there are lots of problems with the last one, is that true?

You could go with the DFI Lanparty NF3 250GB. Ive been able to Overclock like non other.

----Edit---
Just make sure if you have a serial ATA drive you put the drive on SATA ports 3 or 4

There was some rather vague evidence (and marketing) of NForce3 + GeForce5 (ie, GeForceFX) cards running faster together. When tested, this only occurred in horribly CPU-limited benchmarks like Quake3, where you'd get like 570FPS instead of 550 (there was an effect, but it was very minor and only occurred in totally CPU-limited situations). The real-world upshot of this seemed to be roughly zero, and NVIDIA stopped hyping it after this became apparent. I have no idea if anyone has tried to run tests like this with a GeForce6 card, but I suspect the results would be the same.

Thanks guys, I finally decided to go with A8V Deluxe (rev 2.0), I have always liked ASUS, never had issues with their MoBos, they are very stable and have good performance.
