Can someone please help. I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. It looks like the 6600 can do this, but how about the 6800GT?

My TV has component inputs. Currently my ATI 9800 PRO w/ DVI->Component adapter connects the two.

I see the 6600's come with a Component adapter, but what about the 6800GT's? Can I buy such a thing? I'd realy like to replace my 9800PRO with a 6800GT - but I *need* to have component output as my computer is also my HTPC...

Thanks!

The component function is integrated into current ATI and NVIDIA gear, thus making use of a simpler cable rather than the external adapter of the 9800. However, I don't consider the 6800 suitable for a HTPC due to the defective PVP which, last I heard actually serves to degrade performance and ATI gear has always had superior quality video, regardless.

I created a thread about this last summer (before I bought my 6800GT), and the consensus was that there is no easy way to get Component out from a 6800 series card like the DVI->Component adapter from ATI (which won't work on Nvidia cards). Unless a specific manufacturer integrates a Component output like some 6600 manufacturers do (and I'm not aware of any), the only way to do it is a relatively pricey transcoder.
