After reading the 6800GS article and pondering for awhile, i realized that the 6800GS core is the same one as the 6800Ultra Mobile. It should overclock quite nicely... sounds like a great card, and i would buy one if i already didn't have a 7800GT. Discuss.

It is similar, except for the clock speeds (in 2D and 3D) and the memory (DDR for mobile vs. gDDR3 for 6800GS). In other words, it is based on the same NV42 chip.

Yet another inventory dumping. These mobile parts are obsolete after the 7k series mobile chips come out and Nvidia needs to dump the inventory before announcing the 90nm based 7600 series.

Yeah, i find that pretty funny, I saw on one site they brought the core to 540MHz and memory to 1.23ghz, looks pretty nice, but i'm probably gonna wait for the 7600 to be announced considering i'm planning on getting a 360, i have high hopes that nV is going to hit ATi high and low with a high clocked 16piped G70-based card.
