Wow.. what happend to the $499 price point? I think that price is just because they are first to market. So they are trying to gouge people before others enter the market.....

Yeah this price gouging is insane. Gonna wait for this card to actually be released not just tiny batches e stores will make a pretty penny off. Guess some people are happy being the fastest no matter what the price.

Ah just noticed it was an XFX. Whats new only memory clock seems higher, but I am not realy sure what the core of the ultra is.

if this is the price of the actual card, Nvidia doesn't have a chance in it's life.

Don't understand how it was confusing. It said Ultra in it.

I wonder if it's NewEgg, their wholesaler, the AIB, or the IHV that's most responsible for the price-gouging.

Six hundred and nine dollars? $609!!?? :Q :Q :Q

I'm going to keep my Gateway order for the X800XT-PE for $391 to the door and even it is outrageous at that price.

Its confusing because that $600 price tag kept me from even reading the name of the card correctly.

6800U's and 6800GTs are in the system at Fry's Electronics but not in stock yet. BFG is $499.99, PNY is $499.99, and the GT is $399.99. X800 Pro is $399.99 and X800XT PE is $499.99

The 6800GT was BFG. The BFGs looked nice because there 6800U is higher clocked then the standard one and it said lifetime warranty for both cards.
