Anyways, in the training section some of the ground is black (I haven't played the game further so I don't know where else this happens or if it does reoccur but I've noticed it in 2 seperate places just in the training part). I turned the settings all the way down and to 1024 and no black mmm...I tried messing around with it again @ 1280x1024 turning AA off and some other stuff still the black ground remains any suggestions (have updated the drivers to 71.84...

 
Did you update Far Cry to the latest patch (at least 1.1)? The demo and the initial version of Far Cry do not properly detect the GeForce 6 series cards and displays graphical glitches in the game.
 
Yes I'm running DX 9.0c haha patch would be the best option good call dling it now I'll let you know if that fixes it.
