Is it possible to alter the default 2 fan speeds of the 6800 Ultra?
I ask because in windows when its running at 'low' speed, its still too damn noisy, and the GPU core is only at 55C.
Since the Nvidia control panel allows for seperate windows/3dgaming clock speeds, this would allow the core to be set even lower for windows and hence produce even less heat.
This in turn would make iteven more appropriate to reduce the speed of the 6800 Ultra fan in windows.
If anyone knows of a reg key, bios, or anything else to acheive this, pls post it
I did notice something in the registry:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak\NvCplThermalSettings
It was set to 22Hex (34 Decimal) on my system
Does anyone know what this is for?
