Not being able to leave things alone, I had to get an artic cooling fan for my PNY 6800 ultra. The fan works beautifully and is whisper quiet.

The problem is the two card bracket that mounts the video card needs to be modified (i.e. holes or slots cut) for the warm air to be blown out of the case.

I would like to use a replacement bracket and not be in danger of voiding the "lifetime" coverage the manufacturer has placed on the card. (yeah, I know it is limited)

Does anyone have a lead on where to purchase a replacement. Both the manufacturer (pny) and artic cooling have been little help...

thanks,

jv

I have one of the raved about eVGA limited edition cards which has the same bracket as an ultra. I've got an NV silencer on the way and would love to hear of a solution to the bracket as well. So if you find one, let me know. If all else fails, I'll either hacksaw the current one or rig something up myself.

If you have a old video card around you might could take the bracket off of it and hack on that one to make it fit. That leaves the original intact incase you have to send it back for some reason. I just took the bracket off of mine cut it inhalf and put it back on.
