6800 refurb or 6600 GT?

Kind of torn between the two. I really want a 256-bit card, but not sure if it's worth it.

Yup, PNY has one around that price but is only OpenGL 1.5

Just go with the 6600GT. Assuming the refurb does work, you got a good deal. But i wouldn't gamble it...dont trust refurbed video cards that much...

I'd wait for the the OEM PNY 6800's to come back in stock. They are going for like 155 shipped? You should be able to pipemode them too.

AGP or PCI-E?

If its AGP go for the 6800 because you can soft-mod it to be almost a GT

If its PCI-E go for the 6600 because most 6800nu PCI-E cards cannot be softmodded.

Whatever you do, don't get a leadtek 🙂 I'm having all sorts of problems that I didn't even know existed with video cards.. Will be sending it back to newegg in a day or two.
