I have a question about the graphics optimizations for thd 6800 GT. Under the 6800 tab in the graphics settings theres an option to put the card in performance mode or high qulity mode (or several setting in between.) Has anyone played with that? What are the performance boost quality tradeoffs? I read somewhere that there was none that was visible unless you did a side by side comparison to look for differences, but nothing that could be identified as poorer quality. Also what affects do the trilinear optimization (both speed and quality) and antisotropic filtering optimization have? Anyone with some experieince with this?

I think you mean the image settings? If you use performance, it will mean less vibrant textures then what you would see with quality settings.

The trilinear optimizations will basically turn off trilinear filtering and use a mixture of trilinear and bilinear in order to imrove speed. This is what many refer to as "brilinear". In many cases the quality is not affected, but in many cases it is. NV first made this optimization a year or so ago, and people were very upset since they were advertizing trilinear filtering but giving you something else. Therefore NV added the checkbox in the drivers so you could turn off the optimizations and get full trilinear if you wanted. The AF optimizations are a similar idea, but I don't know exactly what they do. Depending on your card and preferences, you could try full quality, and then gradually crank things down until you get the speed you want, or go the other way and start off with minimal quality and then crank things up.
