Alright so today im gonna unlock my 6800 EVGA card and was wondering on overclocking the card and testing it as well. What should i look for to show my mod was unuccessful and How much can I oc this card safely?

Also what drivers should i use?

As for the OC part it depends on your card and your card alone, just go experimenting increasing the clockspeed in low quantities until you experience crashes or graphical anomalies.

To see whether or not your mod was succesful boot up a game, if you see corrupted textures or other graphical anomalies (such as artifacts) then that means your pipe unlock was unsuccesful.
 
Pretty much the same.

If you experience ANY kind of instability after performing the mod that means it was unsuccesful.
