This may be a dumb question, but shouldn't 2.5ns memory be able to easily clock over 900MHz?

I have my 2.8ns memory on my 5900 card humming at 950MHz...

Thanks

1000/2.5 = 400 mhz = 800 mhz DDR

it is impossible for 2.8ns memorry to operate @ 475 mhz since it is only rated @ ~ 360

2.2ns is the 900 mhz stuff. Also, overclocking video ram 115 mhz like you did is pretty rare, even with good cooling... did you volt mod your card?

Oops, I have 2.2ns on my 5900...

Shady, thanks for the simple memory equation. It's on a sticky now.

Hmmm, spend $300.00 for a 6800nu, or $410.00 for a 6800GT.

Geez...

Looking at the reviews it seems the biggest weakness of the 6800 is the 128mb of VRAM. It does pretty well keeping close to the big boys at lower resolutions but somewhere above 1024 FPS begins to fall depending on the game and it definately cannot contend at 4x16x in any game.

I bought a 6800 because im not so worried about playing at 1600 x 1200 - 10x8 4xAF is good to me!

I agree. I've find 1024x768 2xAA 2xAF to be quite acceptable in most games.

I have a $300.00 limit on graphics cards. I think I'll hold off 3-4 months and see where the 6800GT costs then...
