6800 Limited Edition screw ups...

So a second ago i was just lookin around on forums, and my comp restarts...or starts to... it tries, gets halfway and restarts again, once i finally get windows starting up again it tells me it was a problem with the 6800, i clcik dont send error report but it freezes again, and restarts again! Is something wrong with my card? I haveNT OCed, just put in the 61.77 drivers in last night and everything...everything is new

EDIT: And my monitor just blinked, i idle at 59C on my card and 36C on my a64 3000+

and i just got a new 420W power supply from Enermax with the dual 12v rails

No, this cant be it. What about your chipset drivers? How new are they? And your bios?
 
61.77, just installed it last night and i havent flashed cause i dun want to/dunno how. Its jsut pure 6800LE comin from eVGA
 
ok so it seems i have no video card now, im at 640 480 or whatever res and 4 bit colors... comp did it by itself...this sucks!

oh and i also just shut off my comp, im on my parents now...
but dang my temps arent even that high, 59C idle
 
A few people have reported problems running these with the stock BIOS and no overclocking. They said flashing it to GT/Ultra BIOSes fixed everything. I think this LE BIOS had like zero quality control/assurance. It was just some quick fix underclock so they didn't sap their own GT/Ultra sales.
 
wait STOP,

I think there is some confusion. Is your card a 6800 LE (128mb mem) or is it the 6800 LIMITED EDITION (256mb gddr3)

If it is just a 128mb LE, then DO NOT FLASH TO THE GT/Ultra bios.

and i called eVGA and i think i MAY HAVE...just may have solved it...he told me to install the 66.81 drivers, and if they still screwed up my comp, then id have to RMA it 🙁
 
crossing my fingers... havent had any probs since i installed new drivers, played doom 3 and ran aquamark, no artifacts, everything runnning really smooth! Lets keep it that way 🙂
