In the properties for my display adapter, it says my card bus speed is "0x PCI"

and 3dmark reports that it's running at 0x AGP (with 4x and 8x possible)

How is this possible and how do I fix it?

That's part of the problem...

My old card was a "get me to the next chipset" card that i stuck in my new box so I could build it a couple months ago.

It was an agp geforce2 but I have no idea if it was running properly.

I'm guessing that there is a chance that your motherboard chipset drivers where never installed or didn't install properly.

Try going to the manufacterer of your motherboard chipset and getting some new drivers and install them.

Video cards tend to detect as pci when chipset drivers aren't installed or badly need an update.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

If that doesnt help anything. You might want to go as far as updating your bios also if you havn't done so allready. Carefull though if you havn't done it before.

Fixed! Chipset drivers!

New 3dmark03 score: ~11,000
Old score (when it wasn't working) ~6,300

Thanks Kalmah, I'm glad it didn't come down to flashing the bios!
