6800 GT experience short lived. :(

Doesn't Best Buy have a 30 day return policy? If you really want that card, could you not just RMA it? Whatever's wrong with it isn't your fault; you bought it and it was defective. BFG's warranty is unconditional from what I understand.
He got it at Frys 😉 His real problem is he doesn't want to wait indefinitely for another one.

Yeah, I think BB wouldn't really like the Fry's receipt I provide them when I go and return it. 😉

I would like to return it instead of RMAing it, because I'd like to get a new one as quickly as possible.

FWIW, my BFG 8600 GT had this bright yellow/green piece of paper inside the box that said "PLEASE NOTE, if your product is not working properly do not return to the store". It then gives a toll free number to call that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

While it sucks that you got stuck with someone elses defective card, you might want to at least give them a call and see how long an RMA would take.

My 6800 GT is working fine in my Shuttle with a 200W PS so you definitely have anough juice.

I didn't see that tag. I'll give them a call here shortly and see when I can get a new card.

Yep, just got off the phone with them. They said that tag was pretty much for people who had some simple issues they could resolve over the phone. But in my case they recommended me to return it to Fry's to get a new card quicker as they have a 7-10 days waiting period for this card. :| But he said he had no problems if I wanted to RMA it. Anyway, I'm off to another Fry's to see if they have another BFG on the shelves, but I don't feel very lucky. 🙁
