I'm looking for benchmarks comparing the 6800 GS to the x800 GTO2. Thus far, I haven't found any benchies for the GTO2, only the GTO.

Anyone got a linky or some insight as to which card is better since they are similarly priced?

juts compare the 6800GT/Ultra to the X800xtPE/x850xtpe
The geforce SHOULD unlock and the GTO2 is so far almost guaranteed to unlock. This isnt a surefire way but it works :)

Kinda off topic...

But I play WoW, the only game I truly play. I want to get a new video card sub 200.. I was thinking about the 6800GS, but what about the 6600GT?? How much of a lost is that?

And I think they are about even, the GTO2 is a little slower unless unlocked.

When both are at stock, the gs is faster. The gto2 is the same clocks as the gto, just a newer gpu core and higher rated mem. When the gto2 is unlocked and oc'd, it's faster than a oc'd gs. BTW, there's nothing to unlock on the gs.

not totally proven yet, but the agp gs has a few threads that say it is possible to unlock it. I'll have mine tomorrow, so we will see.

If we're talking about agp, then there is no unlockable gto for agp, and it all depends on OC'ing. If the gs can be unlocked and OC's well too, then it should definitely be faster then a 12 pipe gto.

I'd get the GTO (or GTO2). I went from an AGP 6800GT to a PCIe X800 GTO2 and now I've had to go back because of a defective card, but I notice how much smoother the GTO2 felt playing games (especially WoW).
